Sea of Cortez - Ultimate Vacation Photography Workshop, Osprey, Sea Birds, Seascapes and Nightscapes- (All Inclusive Workshop!)

The Sea of Cortez is an amazing vacation and photography destination. With miles of sandy beach and crystal clear blue waters, the Sea of Cortez is teeming with sea life, sea birds and large concentrations of Ospreys. The Sea of Cortez also experiences some of the most extreme tidal variations in the world exposing several thousand feet of fresh sandy beach each day and providing a front row seat to spectacular sunrises, sunsets and unobstructed view of night sky from back deck of the house for stars and Milky Way.

First Light Photo Tours is offering a one-of-a-kind vacation/photo workshop in a private,4500 square foot home near the quaint fishing town of Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. The four bedroom/five bath, luxury beach front home sits just steps from the water’s edge and offers the perfect setting for capturing majestic sunrises and spectacular sunsets on the same horizon. Ospreys, Egrets, grey herons, flocks of pelicans, terns, gulls and other species routinely congregate on the beach and pods of dolphins and an occasional breeching whale can be seen from the veranda.

This workshop is designed to be informal, fun, and relaxing. Participants are encouraged to take full advantage of the location and amenities of this incredible beach front home. In addition to your own private bedroom and en-suite bath, the home offers a complete entertainment center including flat screen televisions, satellite reception, local and movie channels, and DVD players. Relax in the sun or under the palapa on the elevated veranda where there is a fire pit, a large heated spa and a margarita bar. You will have free internet access as well as long distance calling to and from the USA. Two sea kayaks are provided for those who wish to follow the dolphins. Additional activities like deep sea fishing expeditions, snorkeling and scuba diving, or a dinner cruises can be arranged through local tour companies.

Our daily photo workshops are informal but enriching. Daily activities will include shooting seascapes during sunrise and sunset, photographing Osprey on location and capturing images of indigenous sea birds. Your instructor will be available as a guide, to assist you in the field, and will be available to share critical post processing skills that will enhance your images.
