Introduction: Sedona, Arizona Fall Photography Workshop, October 14 - October 17, 2012

Sedona, known as “Red Rock Country” is nestled within the 1.8 million acre Coconino National Forest 140 miles north of Phoenix, Arizona.  Surrounded by the unusually rugged and beautiful Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona’s massive red rock cliffs and lush vegetation make it a key destination for those wanting to experience the sacred land of the Yavapai and Apache Indians and photograph one of the most scenic areas of the southwestern United States.  The spectacular landscape of Sedona will not disappoint even the most well-traveled photographers.

Our 3-day workshop is designed to take full advantage of the natural beauty of the area surrounding Sedona.  The locations we will visit include famous Cathedral Rock, Coffee Pot Rock, Schnebly Vista, various colorful photographic locations along the scenic Oak Creek Canyon, and West Fork Trail.

FirstLight Photo Tours’ Sedona workshop offers a unique opportunity to capture the iconic images of the Red Rock Country.  The workshop is limited to 12 participants and will be led by group leaders with intimate knowledge of the area and exceptional photographic and workshop experience.  Our small, personalized group setting is designed to maximize one-on-one interaction with participants and further develop photographic skills.

The workshop fee includes all lodging, permits and entrance fees.  The workshop fee does not include meals, transportation to and from the Sedona, and personal expenses. 4-wheel drive vehicle is not reqired for this workshop.

Please bring your own equipment.  We recommend a sturdy tripod, circular polarizer, and split natural density. Wide angle and medium focal length lenses (17mm ~ 80 mm) are a must.  A notebook computer with photo editing software for post shoot critique is also recommended.
